Plot: In 1666 in the Massachusetts Bay colony, Puritans and Algonquian have an uneasy truce. Hester arrives from England, seeking independence. He feels the same; when they learn her husband has probably died at the hands of Indians, they consummate their love. A child is born, and on the day Hester is publicly humiliated and made to wear a scarlet letter, her husband appears after a year with Indians. Calling himself Chillingworth, he seeks revenge, searching out Hester's lover and stirring fears of witchcraft. Will his murderous plot succeed?

    bu filmi secmeli sinema dersimizde hocanin zoruyla izlemistik, sIkIldIk ve anlamsiz bir vakit kaybi olduguna karar verdik. bu tip filmlerden cikaracagim sonuc, eski bir omur boyu suren uzun romanlari filme uyarladiklarinda filmin boyutuna göre kisaltmalari gerekince film madara oluyo kisaltmayincalar da izleyenler madara oluyor. cozum bu tip romanlari filme uyarlamamak.

    When Demi Moore was begin hanged, Gary oldman was spoken out what he has pented from heart, it was a scene of the most i like.

    The only reason why I watch this movie is because I use the book for the preparation for my final paper, and this movie is really a waste of time. Seriously, not my kind of drama, since I'm not a big fan of Demi Moore and Gary Oldman So, overall this is really a waste of time.. This movie do not help me and my paper at all

    Hopefully this will be far more enjoyable than the tiresome book. XD Gary Oldman is such a plus to watch this.

    this is great ,the baby she has in this is her actual baby & she dont look to bad for not long having a baby.gary oldman he cant even remember makin this movie, he was totally drunk .anyhow great movie.
